PARENTS: Bruce Butler sent me this information that might lead to a clue about James' parentage - Thomas Butler of Kent Island was granted 1000 acres of land in Isle of Wight Co. in 1635. There are also some researchers who believe that William Butler, born about 1720 in Isle of Wight County, Virginia is James' father.
