Notes for NELLIE M (BEATTY) & CHARLES BOYD SPECK:

Charles & Nellie moved from Tingley, Ringgold Co., to a farm several miles outside Overton, Dawson Co., NE.
They remained there until 1901 when they moved to Loveland, Larimer Co., CO. They remained in Loveland until 1907.
In July of that year they moved to Upland, San Bernardino Co., CA, where both Charles and Nellie remained until their deaths. (Charles d: Oct 12, 1927.)

Notes for JOHN and FERN (QUIGLEY) BEATTY:

Was known as Jack.
Passed away after a three-day illness in the Goshen Co. Memorial Hospital. The Obit says he had been in Torrington 53 years, which would have put him there in 1910.
He married Fern in 1913, in Denver CO.
He was a member of F&AM Torrington Lodge 29 (50 yrs). He was also an Elks Lodge member.
Jack and Fern celebrated their 40th & 50th anniversaries at the “Undercroft” of the All Saints Episcopal Church in Torrington. The 40th was celebrated on Wednesday evening (7-10), Feb 25 1953, and the 50th on Sunday afternoon, Feb 24, 1963.
