Purpose in Life
To enjoy the gift that God has given
you. Enjoy life, it is a journey and
if you enjoy it, you will learn more along the way. Live, Love, Laugh! Live
life to the fullest! Love with all
your heart! Help other people who are
not as fortunate as you are. God,
gave you that gift to see what you would do with it. And, Laugh every time you have an
opportunity. And, laugh at the
troubles that jump in front of you and try to derail you from enjoying life. Purpose is the place where your
deep gladness meets the world’s needs. ---
Frederick Buechner A
Reason, Season or a Lifetime People come into our lives for a reason, a
season, or a lifetime. Choices
that Change Lives Many people waste precious time
searching to find their purpose and joy in life; when it waits right in front
of them for their discovery all the time.
They forget to count their blessings and be thankful for what they
have. After a life threatening
illness and a long recovery, I had wasted some precious time trying to find
my purpose and forgot to look right in front of me for the answer. I forgot to count my blessings and be
happy with what was right there for me to appreciate. Like most people wondering what is my
purpose? Why has God given me this
day? What should I do with it? The book by Hal Urban was one of the
best books I’ve picked up and read in a very long time. It put my purpose in life into perspective
that I could understand. The book is
so easy to follow and so well organized. I’ve taken only a few quotes from
his book. There are many more worthy of
reading. Stop just a minute and THINK
about what your choices and your actions will do not only to your life, but
to those around you. People choose to
be giving or taking. They decide if
they will have empathy for others or be self centered and heartless. You choose if you will forgive someone or
feel resentment towards them for whatever it is that they have done to
you. Sometimes people even plan ways
to get revenge. It is hard to
forgive, but you must forgive others for their mistakes, we are only human
and we all make them. Work joyfully and peacefully, knowing that right
thoughts and right efforts will inevitably bring about right results. --- James Allen A

is a Gift From God Song of Songs (Right after Ecclesiastes in your bible) Poems about grown up love
between a man and a woman written by Solomon. It was written for grown ups to help them understand love and
marriage. It should be required
reading before the preacher will conduct the ceremony. God intends the love between a husband and
a wife to be special. Modern day
experts are nearly unanimous in arguing that the poem is a celebration of God’s
gift of Love and Sexuality. The
passionate compliments continue flowing, as husband and wife praise each
other and even more boldly describe their physical desires for one
another. Place
me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, its
jealousy as enduring as the grave.
Love flashes like fire, the brightest kind of flame. Many waters cannot quench love, nor can
rivers drown it. If a man tried to
buy love with all his wealth, his offer would be utterly scorned. (It is “more powerful than death, stronger
than the grave….It cannot be bought, no matter what is offered”) Song of Songs 8:6-7 Even so, I have noticed one thing, at least, that is
good. It is good for people to eat,
drink and enjoy their work under the sun during the
short life God has given them, and to accept
their lot in life. And it is a
good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—this is indeed a gift from God. God keeps such
people so busy enjoying life that they take no time to brood over the past. Ecclesiastes 5:18 (After living a
long and luxurious life, Solomon concludes that it’s simple things that
matter most. “What is the best thing
to do in the short life that God has given us?” Solomon asks. “I think we should enjoy eating, drinking,
and working hard. This is what God
intends for us to do”) To
discover more fulfillments in life, read the parables of Jesus about the
kingdom of heaven. Mathew 13
has several. They help put life on
earth in context of eternal life, and encourage us to give our attention to
things of greatest value. Books
