Goodbye…

I can feel the tears start to burn as I look into your eyes.

Something tells me your about to say goodbye.

You'll never understand how it hurts to let you go.

Though in my mind, I'll never let it show.

I'm standing alone in the rain, where you've left me today.

I feel the world spin around as I drop to my knees and pray.

There's a sense of pain I feel in my heart as I cry to the beating rain.

I'll wake up at dawn, knowing today that you are gone.

With her by your side the way it should be.

I'll never know why it's so unfair to me.

Like a piece of paper wrote on too many times.

After a while it gets tossed aside.

Don't pass by me and say hello, I'll break down and cry.

Don't try to a friend, it will only tear me up inside.

It's only a phase that will soon pass me by.

I wish I could ask you to stay. But I'm better off saying goodbye.

Maybe another rainy day we'll meet again.

As for now this is where it ends.

It's just another day, where the dawns of tomorrows

Will meet the dusks of the yesturdays.
