          Descendants of Levi Weston ROSE born 1822
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

               Rose of Sheet Harbour

Levi Weston Rose was b. ca. 1822, perhaps as St. Stephen, NB.  
He m. Margaret Hall.  She was b. at Sheet Harbour, a daughter of 
John "Lakehouse" Hall, and as a widow m.(2) Alexander Ogilvie, 
24 June 1858 at Lakeside, Sheet Harbour, by Rev. John Sprott, 
and afterwards lived at Meaghers Grant.  The family of Levi Rose 
lived at Sheet Harbour. He was shipwrecked and drowned off 
Sheet Harbour on 14 Jan. 1855 while returning from Halifax.  
His body was recovered on 22 Jan. 1855 and bur. 23 Jan. 1855 at 
St. Andrew's, Sheet Harbour, age. 33 years.

Children:
i.   Mary Elizabeth, b. ca. 1845, m. Alexander Marks, 
     19 April 1864, d. 18 June 1893.
ii.  Anna Blair, b. ca. 1847, d. 6 Feb. 1854 at Sheet Harbour, 
     ae. 6 years, 11 months.
iii. Eliza, b. ca. 1849, m. Alexander Hurley (a farmer from 
     Musquodoboit), 29 June 1869 at Dartmouth, lv. Musquodoboit.
iv.  David, b. ca. 1852, at Sheet Harbour in 1881, a 
     Presbyterian laborer.
v.   Levi W., b. ca. 1854, lumberman living with John McPhail 
     in 1871, d. 5 March 1879 at Sheet Harbour, bur. Meaghers Grant, 
     ae. 24½ years (per obituary).

Anna A. Rose, b. ca. 1812 at St. Stephen, NB, d. 3 June 1876 
     at Sheet Harbour, age 64 years. She presumably was the elder 
     sister Levi Weston Rose.

Once a genealogy link is made to a Clan Chiefs family, you can trace your genealogy back to the early 13th century through two old documents that have been preserved by my family.
