Grono Family Reunion 2007

This will not only mark the 208th anniversary of the arrival of the John and Elizabeth Grono and family to Australia on the HMS Buffalo but also the 200th anniversary of the arrival of David Hartley to Australia on the Duke of Portland in 1807.

??A publication on John Grono may also be available at the reunion.??

We are in the process of establishing a collection of Grono family photos that can be shared among family members. If you have any old photos we would love to hear from you. Please contact Marilyn Langler (via our contact details below).

Honour Roll

We are also setting up a database of descendants who have served in the armed forces over time. If you have a Grono descendant that you would like included please forward the following information to Karen Mills (via our contact details below):

• Full name of person (plus their parent’s names – as sometimes more than one family member has the same name)

• Person’s date and place of birth, OR age on entry into service

• Service number (if known)

• Service joined (i.e. army, navy or airforce)

• Rank

• Length of service (or date of when joined and discharged)

• If died in action and details

• Honours received (i.e. medals)

• Any other details (e.g. battles participated in; placed served)
