I'm still dong better all the time. My eyes are almost all cleared up now and I look allmost* like I did when I was home last. I haven't any scars almost at all on my face, none that you'd notice anyway. We're still here in Tokyo Bay taking on prisoners at* war. I don't know when we'll get a full load although I wish I did. You will find enclosed a picture of the New Kent, that was taken June 10** in the Lake Washington locks in Seattle. That's when we were first going into the canal before the strike, that happened a few days later. I think you've got the paper with our pic. when we were coming out of Lake Washington that Sis*** said she sent you. Boy this sure is a pitiful bunch of men coming aboard this morning. They're mostly British that were on Bataan in '41. They sure got some pitiful sounding tales to tell of the Jap atrocities in the prison camps too. I'll tell you all about it when I get there sometime in the next 3 or 4 months anyway. How is Dad and the kids today? Getting along fine I hope. I guess it's rainy season around Poca. now. The mill probably isn't running much either because of lack of timbers. Well, I've got to close as it's sick call around the ward. Bye & take care of yourself.
