                      Died 3:40 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 1991, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was 94, a

 native of Luebeck, Germany, and resident of Baton Rouge. He was a retired Boyd Professor Emeritus of sociology at LSU. Memorial services at Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge at 4 p.m.  Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Steve J. Crump. Survived by wife, Franziska Toennies Heberle,  Baton Rouge; a daughter, Antje E. Kolodziej, Champaign and Urbana, Ill.; two sons, Juergen W. Heberle, Buffalo, N.Y., and Klaus H. Heberle, Louisville, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; and a  great-grandchild. He received honorary degrees from University of Kiel and University of Hamburg in Germany. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Unitarian Church of  Baton Rouge, 8470 Goodwood Blvd., 70806.

Heberle, Louisville, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was a member of Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge and received honorary degrees from University of Kiel and University of Hamburg in Germany.
