Heberle families lived in the Odessa region of Ukraine from c1840, having emigrated from Germany. Andreas Heberle b c1830, from Alpirsbach, Wurttemburg, migrated with his parents and lived in the town of Munchen, near Odessa. His descendants lived near Odessa until after World War II. At that time they moved further east. A few families moved to Siberia in 1945-46. Some moved to Kasakhstan c1948 and Tadgikistan c1951. Charles Tracy Heberle (Oshkosh branch), b 1862 d c1931, son of Jakob Heberle of Oshkosh WI, was sold into servitude in Essex MA, c1880. He later worked on tugboats, purchased one, sold it in 1903 to buy Gloucester Coal Company. He built the steam powered "Eveleth". He purchased a lumber and building material business in Gloucester MA, which has continued in the Heberle family. The business was operated by his son Charles Tracy II and grandson Charles Tracy III.

Located adjacent to scenic Ellison Park Heberle stables is a full service lesson and boarding facility. Currently managed by William R Heberle and his wife Heather, previously managed by his father Oscar Joseph and grandfather Henry Alfred Heberle. William’s children are Jacob, Alicia and Marguerite.
Heberle Nursery Company operated in the Rochester area (Penfield) in c1995. A fruit farm. Heberle Farm Market operated in the Rochester area (Qualtrough Road, Hamlin) in 1995 but Heberles were no longer involved. Started by Kelly Heberle Burns father James Edward Heberle and mother Carole. Sold in c1987. A fruit and vegetable store was built next to the farm house.
Sandra Munnings Heberle has worked in the Sisters of Mercy motherhouse near Rochester, since 1973. Over the years, she has worked as kitchen crew member, kitchen manager and now kitchen supervisor. Mercy High girls help in the kitchen. Each day’s luncheon meal is served both in the main dining room and upstairs in the motherhouse to about 100 folks in the Independent Living for Seniors program.

Arthur A Heberle b 1877 in Verona Mills, the son of Christian and Salome Ungerer Heberle. He d 1952 in Oneida. In the early days he worked in Rochester, where he was a motorman on the street railways. He m June Wheadrick of Verona Mills in 1907. They lived in Rome for 7 years where he was a motorman in Rome street cars. In 1921 they moved to Oneida where he operated a farm and also served for many years as a watchman on the New York Central. They had 2 sons, Milton A Heberle of Rome and Warner C Heberle of Verona.
Milton A. Heberle, 93, of Vernon, d 2003. He was a member of the Nortrip Masonic Lodge, Minoa, NY. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Christian G and Donna Heberle of Minoa, 2 grandchildren, Alyssa and Ashley Heberle.
Elnora H Heberle d 1986. A native of Vienna, Mrs Heberle lived in Verona since 1951. She retired as staff attendant after 14 years with the Rome Development Center. Mrs Heberle was a 1931 graduate of the teacher training Dept of Morrisville College. Surviving her were her husband Milton A and son Christian G of Minoa and 2 grandchildren.

Joseph Heberle (Hoerdt branch) was a trade unionist, the founder of the teamster's union and member of the central labor council in Cincinnati. Joseph Heberle proposed that street cars be provided with an enclosed vestibule (cab). At that time the driver was in the open, exposed to the elements. In those days water troughs for horses were only in front of saloons. Joseph Heberle agitated for the city council to provide water troughs. He was also instrumental in having Sunday funerals abolished, so that drivers could have Sundays off. Joseph Heberle b 1866 in Rulzheim, Germany. He lived in Cincinnati in 1890-91 and probably died there.
In Cincinatti OH there is a Heberle Elementary School located at 2015 Freeman Avenue. About 950 students attended this school in 1998, c70% African-American and 27% white. The school was built in 1929. The building contains many decorative features, including a tiled fountain dedicated to Joseph Heberle. He was an early school advocate, winning support for free textbooks in the public school system.

Orville started Heberle Meat Packing Company on the farm settled by Mathias Heberle in 1959 and sold it in 1975. He was cellar master in the Hermannhof Winery in Hermann when it opened in 1976. In its first year of operation, the winery produced 4000 gallons of wine. During his 10 years with Hermannhof, Orville oversaw the sausage-making operation at the winery.
7th son, Harry J Heberle, b 1917, was sheriff of Gasconade county, based in Hermann 1957-72, before he bought and operated the Concert Hall Bar & Barrell Tavern from 1973-89. In 1997, he was Assistant Deputy Director in the Division of Youth Services in the Missouri Department of Social Services. In 1998, he joined the Children's Trust Fund, a state and non-profit agency whose purpose is to prevent child abuse and neglect through public education campaigns and the funding of grants to local communities. In 1923, Adeline Heimbuch m Karl Heberle (b 1898, Alpirsbach branch) in Herreid. They had 3 children while in South Dakota. They moved to Plevna MT in 1928 where their next 4 children were born. In 1939 they moved to Custer where they owned and operated the Standard Oil Station with their sons for >20 years. In 1942, their youngest daughter was b in Hardin. Adeline and Karl moved to Forsyth in 1959, owning and operating Tepee Motors, which later became Heberle Ford. Adeline continued to live in Forsyth following Karl’s death in 1989.
Three generations of Heberles have been in the car business. They started with a car-repair shop in Custer MT, where they also sold used cars. In 1959, they purchased TePee Motor Co., in Forsyth. Six brothers took over the business to build it into the largest Ford and Mercury dealership in Eastern Montana. James Paul Heberle (Ettenheim branch), MD, 82, a retired physician, d 2003. He was b 1921, in Joshua TX, where his father was a dentist. After graduating from high school, he attended Texas Wesleyan College as a pre-medical student, where he met his wife, Analois Beauchamp (Ann). In 1941 he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and completed meteorology cadet training at the University of Chicago. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant and spent 2 years of active duty in the Alaska-Aleutians area as a weather officer. Ann Heberle, wife of Dr James Paul Heberle is known in Texas for her beautification efforts. She jointly won first place in the female volunteer category in the O.P. Schnabel Senior Citizen Awards for 1999 from Keep Texas Beautiful. She has supported the Burleson recycling program; volunteered with the American Heart Association; teaching in public schools for 31 years; volunteered with the medical auxiliary; She moved to Burleson in 1956, with her husband and their 3 children (Suzanne, Linda Kay, James Paul). Other honors achieved by Ann include Volunteer of the Year; the Ann Heberle Humanitarian Award; Volunteer in Texas by the Forestry Council and Texas Forest Services; Citizen of the Year (1989); life membership in the Texas Garden Club Inc.; life membership in the Newcomers Club; and the Outstanding Spouse Award from the medical auxiliary of Burleson.
Linda Kay Heberle (Ettenheim branch, daughter of Dr James Paul Heberle) had an acting and comedy career in Los Angeles CA, before moving back to Keller TX in April 1997. Received MFA in Acting from UCLA. She studied Shakespeare and Chekhov at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Over 20 years professional acting experience. She played Joann Curtis (Curtznski) co-star in "Young and Restless" TV series in 1975-78. Was in film "Psycho III in 1986, played Ruthie. In TV series "With this ring" in 1978. She taught theatre appreciation at Tarrant County Junior College in 1997. Received secondary teaching certification c1998. In 1999 instructed and directed a local comedy instruction group.

Graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in accounting and a minor in economics. Passed the Certified Public Accountant examination in 1968. Lived and worked in the Dallas area for 17 years. Six years in public accounting and 11 years with InterFirst Bank-Dallas. Joined a savings and loan association in Lubbock TX and moved to Austin TX a year later. In 1988, moved to Boston MA with a large real estate investment firm. Returned to TX in 1989. In late 1989, moved to Stockton CA and joined a large savings association. In 1991, moved to Pleasant Hill CA. In 1995, moved to Irvine CA and joined a large mortgage services company. In 1996 moved to Laguna Niguel CA and in 2000 to Aliso Viejo CA. Active in Honda Gold Wing Road Riders Association. Son JR (John Russell) b Dallas TX and moved with father and mother to Lubbock and Austin TX. After their divorce, his mother and JR returned to Dallas. He attended St. Mark's School of Texas and graduated in 1999. Attended the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA. He runs cross-country.

Steven Francis Heberle (Altusried branch) 41, of Cross Junction, d 2004, in an aeroplane crash in Panama. He was b 1963, in Washington DC, the son of John Joseph and Winifred Reumont Heberle. He was president of 24/7 Staffing Inc. in Cross Junction and a respiratory therapist at Winchester Medical Center. He had worked at the VA Hospital in Martinsburg, WV, and the Loudoun County Hospital Center. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Shenandoah University in 1997 and was a veteran of the Marine Corps. He was a former member of Middletown Volunteer Fire Department and a volunteer for Camp Super Kids. He m Rachel Pfaender in 1988. Surviving with his wife, are his parents of Port Republic MD; a son, Alex Heberle; 3 brothers, John Joseph (Jay) Heberle of Port Republic, Mark Alexander Heberle of Charlotte NC, and Michael J Heberle of Reliance VA; and a sister, Kathryn Heberle of Port Republic.

Greg (m Cristie) lived in Fairfax 1995, was a member of the Mazda Sports club in Washington DC in 1998. Raced a 1994 blue Mazda in Camden Speedway. Played competition 10 pin bowling in Washington DC.

Rachel Marie Heberle practiced counselling in Winchester VA in 2004. Rachel is a National Certified Counselor and a member of the American Counseling Association. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, WV in 1999 ? and her Master’s and Education Specialist degrees from James Madison University in Harrisonburg VA in 2002. She has extensive training in dealing with issues stemming from sexual and physical abuse. She currently works as a resident in counseling in private practice and as an in-home therapist.
Charles Heberle from Clausthal-Zellerfeld, migrated to USA c1847. During passage, cholera broke out on the ship and many died including parents. Fought in American Civil War, with the Illinois 1st Infantry. He was severely wounded in the battle of Shiloh but recovered and m Margaret Kruppinger. Lived in the Maysville/Keyser area of WV. Captured by his brother William Heberle/Hepley (see Indiana) and turned in for a bounty. Died 1870 in Virginia.

Former manager/director of a number of companies, including A Heberle Exportacao e Importacao LTD, Heberle Soja S/C Ltd. Was a Secretary of State for Tourism, Industry and Commerce in State of Mato Grosso do Sul. In 1952-54 worked for a grain wholesaler in Santa Rosa and Tres de Maio RS. In 1955-59 with uncle Ivo Weller, worked for Pampa SA Exportadora e Importadora (commodity, chemical, tools import/export), in Porto Alegre, where he became General Manager. Also of Nepain S.A., Sorol S.A (an oil seed crushing plant which he managed 1965-69). In 1970 formed his own company A Heberle Exportacao e Importacao, in Porto Alegre, as an export, import and bokerage firm. Opened offices in Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo, under the name of Heberle Soja S/C Ltd. With Ivo Weiler S.A. 1970-89. In 1979-82 opened offices in Buenos Aires to trade Argentine vegetable oils arid seeds to the Brazilian crushers, and corn to the chicken and pig producers. In 1989 sold companies, moved to Buenos Aires again, and started working for Ceval Alimentos S.A., the largest Brazilian oil seed crushing group, and third largest in meat and chicken
