My Grandmother loved flowers, especially roses, so I am dedicating my favorite song to the memory of this wonderful Lady!
Littie Ann NORWOOD was born on 17 Dec 1899 in Arkansas. She died in 1968 in Houston, TX. She was the daughter of Samuel P. NORWOOD and Adeline "Addie" (BARNES) ISOM.
Littie was my grandmother and she raised my sister and me after our Mother died. She was the most influential person in my life and I love her deeply. She was the most honest, straight forward person I have ever met. She loved her family with unconditional love. Having been almost full-blood Cherokee, we made certain she didn't lose her temper with us. Our childhood friends loved Grandma like we did, so Grandma had a very large 'extended' family.
She always had time for everyone, including strangers. She was always the first one on the scene of numerous accidents on our corner, giving first aid or talking them into a calmer state of mind. Grandma was God's Angel on earth and everyone loved this Grand Lady.
It was a great loss for all when Grandma died in 1968 from emphysema. Grandma, we miss you and we love you--may you rest in peace.
