Welcome to Gary & Ann Blakely's Web Site where you will find genealogical information about some of our lines. Our families are primarily from the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas and Missouri.

Gary's Family

I believe that Dionysius Blakeley of Lexington and Edgefield Counties in South Carolina is my Blakeley ancestor. I would love to have more proof but at the present I will list him as my ancestor. I also think that Bland Blakeley who is next to Dionysius on the 1790 Orangeburgh District census is Dionysius's brother. They both served in the Revolutionary War. James Cannon was probably born somewhere in South Carolina. James and Mary Cannon are listed as members of New Hope Baptist Church in Pickens County, South Carolina on September 12, 1835. This is the first actual location I have for them. James Cannon died July 10, 1855 and is buried in the Morgan Family Cemetery in Pickens County, South Carolina. Andrew Hamilton O'Harrow was born about 1780 probably somewhere in North Carolina. On the 1810 & 1820 census they are in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. By 1825 they are in Georgia as son Robert Julius O'Harrow is born in Georgia. On the 1830 census they are in Campbell County, Georgia. By 1840 they are in Alabama, first in Coosa County and later Randolph County. See this link for my information on Andrew Hamilton O'Harrow, Sr.

Ann's Family

John L. Walker was born about 1806 in Georgia. He married Ann D. Gafford 9 DEC 1829. She was born 11 APR 1810 in Georgia. See this link for our data on John L. Walker.
