"GRAVES, Cynthia Mrs.- 09 June 1915 - Mrs. Cynthia Graves, widow of the late Bennett F. Graves, died at the home of her son, Mr. E. J. Graves, near Mt. Croghan, last Wednesday. She had been in an almost helpless condition for about two years, and suffered much with rheumatism. She was about 82 years old and [had] been a member of Cross Roads Church for a long time and was a good woman. She is survived by the following children: J. W., E. J. and B. V. Graves of this County; W. S. Graves of Wadesboro, and Mrs. J. W. Stegall of Union County. The body was buried at Providence Thursday about noon. Rev's J. D. Purvis and J. M. "Mr. W.M. Jordan died last Saturday at his home in South Wadesboro, aged about 77 years. Interment was in the Seago Cemetery on Sunday and the funeral service was at the graveside by Rev. J.A. Caligan. His wife, Mrs. Ollie Jordan, and a number of sons and daughters survive Mr. Jordan, who was born in South Carolina." His death certificate states he died of heart disease."."

"GRAVES, Cynthia Mrs.- 09 June 1915 - Mrs. Cynthia Graves, widow of the late Bennett F. Graves, died at the home of her son, Mr. E. J. Graves, near Mt. Croghan, last Wednesday. She had been in an almost helpless condition for about two years, and suffered much with rheumatism. She was about 82 years old and [had] been a member of Cross Roads Church for a long time and was a good woman. She is survived by the following children: J. W., E. J. and B. V. Graves of this County; W. S. Graves of Wadesboro, and Mrs. J. W. Stegall of Union County. The body was buried at Providence Thursday about noon. Rev's J. D. Purvis and J. M. Grandaddy Graves’ first cousin Beulah married G. W. Watts and died at age 17 in May 1907. They apparently had no children. George (G. W.) remarried and his first child was James Monroe, who was born in October 1908.
Monroe Watts was a grandfather of the Kikers (Neil, Luella, Scott and Lydia). Neil lived with Monroe for some time growing up."

"GRAVES, Cynthia Mrs.- 09 June 1915 - Mrs. Cynthia Graves, widow of the late Bennett F. Graves, died at the home of her son, Mr. E. J. Graves, near Mt. Croghan, last Wednesday. She had been in an almost helpless condition for about two years, and suffered much with rheumatism. She was about 82 years old and [had] been a member of Cross Roads Church for a long time and was a good woman. She is survived by the following children: J. W., E. J. and B. V. Graves of this County; W. S. Graves of Wadesboro, and Mrs. J. W. Stegall of Union County. The body was buried at Providence Thursday about noon. Rev's J. D. Purvis and J. M. Sullivan conducted the service.".
