David Davis was born in Merion Twp, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in Abt 1720, and died at Cheraw District, Chesterfield Co., South Carolina in 1773.
Jane Miles was born in Merion Twp, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in abt. 1832, and died at Chesterfield, Chesterfield Co., South Carolina in 1772.
The nine children, listed below, gave rise to the large Davis clan that inhabited central Chesterfield County and surrounding areas.
