LEROY CREAGER⁷ SHIELDS, eldest son and eldest child of Raymond Dale⁶ Shields and Sarah Margaret Creager, was born at the family home on 20 February 1905 at Darke County, Ohio. On 9 February 1929, he married Ida Belle Beihl, dau/o William Preston Beihl and Catherine "Kitty" Duffy. Leroy (also known as Roy) died 18 April 1987 at Miami County, Ohio and was buried at Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua, Miami County, Ohio. Ida died 7 September 2002 at the age of 98 years and was buried next to her husband.
