(2) Martha Jane "Jennie" (Carson) Perry (widow of Nathan L. Perry); died 01 June 1881 Shelby County, Ohio at 66y 2m 27d. Elizabeth born between 1822 - 1825 in Pennsylvania; died 14 January 1861 Shelby County, Ohio at 39y 1m 15d. She and Dennis were the parents of eight known children: Augustus, Rebecca, Nicholas Wynant, Marcus W., William, Margaret "Magy" J., Sarah E., and Elizabeth "Eliza" Mills. Elizabeth was buried in the Mills Family Graveyard near Newport, Shelby County, Ohio. Martha was born 02 July 1833 in Ohio; married 1854 in Miami County, Ohio to (1) Nathan Lycurgus Perry. Martha and Nathan Perry were the parents of: Amos Walter, William, & Mary Rachel Perry. Martha married 1863 Miami County, Ohio to (2) Dennis C. Mills; and died 14 December 1893, and they were the parents of one known son: John H. Mills. They are buried at the Old Houston Cemetery in Section 2, Lot 42.

Marcus W. Mills, 4th child of Dennis C. Mills and Elizabeth R. Giesseman/Geeseman/Geesaman, was born 17 January 1848 in a log house on the Mills Farm in Cynthian Township, Shelby County, Ohio. He married 03 June 1878 Shelby County, Ohio to
Eliza Rosetta Harrop; was a farmer, and died 18 July 1924 Cynthian Township, Shelby County, Ohio. Marcus and Eliza were the parents of seven children: Olive "Ollie" M., an unnamed male child, Mary, Martha, Margaret Viola, Eva Mae, & James Dennis Mills. Eliza was dau/o James Harrop. They are buried at the Old Houston Cemetery in Section 2, Lot 42.

Augustus "August" Mills, eldest child and s/o Dennis C. Mills & Elizabeth Giesseman, was born between 03 February - 17 October 1842 possibly in Cynthian Township, Shelby County, Ohio or Pennsylvania. August married 07 November 1865 to
Catherine Mary Maxton. He homesteaded a farm located on Boerger/Cardo Road in Shelby County, Ohio. Sometime probably in December 1882, August was kicked in the head by a horse; was rushed to the home of his brother-in-law (Dr. George W. Fulkerson, hus/o Margaret J. Mills) in Logan County, Ohio; and there died 11 December 1882. August and Elizabeth were parents of ten known children: Theodore Albert, Nancy Jane, Mary Catherine, James, Edward, Charles, George, Oscar, Margaret "Magy", & Dora Elon. Catherine attempted with the help of her sons to keep the farm, but they didn't succeed. Later, the family moved to Miami County, Ohio. Elizabeth's parents are unknown. George Mills, s/o Augustus Mills and Elizabeth R. Giesseman/Geeseman/Geesaman, was born 1876; married
Lillian [--?--]; died 1947. ["I remember George visiting his sister, my grandmother, Mary C. (Mills) Lehmann, when I was very little. I think my mother [Rita M. (Lehmann) Shields] said that George went from door to to door sharpening knives and scissors. I have that he was married to a Lillian [--?--] and they separated after living in Detroit, Michigan." ASH] George and Lillian are believed to have had two sons and 3 daughters: one unknown son, Etta Mills, Bertha Mills, Grace Mills, & Richard Mills. Their residence became unknown, and were said to have spread across the country. ASH] [Inscriptions for August Mills and his children, George Mills and Elon Mills are located on the same stone. JRM]

John H. Mills, s/o Dennis C. Mills and his 2nd wife, Martha Jane "Jennie" Carson (wid/o Nathan Perry), was born 1867 probably in Shelby County, Ohio. He married to
Lillie M. [--?--]. It is not known if John and Lillie had any issue. John died 1954. Lillie was born 1872 and died 1943. Both are buried at the Houston Cemetery, Houston, Shelby County, Ohio.

Nicholas Wynant Mills, was the third child and s/o Dennis C. Mills and Elizabeth R. Giesseman/Geeseman/Geesaman, born 19 September 1845 in Cynthian Township, Shelby County, Ohio; married 22 February 1876 Shelby County, Ohio to
Mary Elizabeth SPARLEY; and died in an Ohio Penitentiary on 07 June 1888 for his involvement in an unfortunate event. Nicholas and Mary Elizabeth were the parents of five children: Mary Alma; (Judge) Dennis Finley/Findley reared by his uncle, Marcus Mills; L.M or E.W.; Morris A. who is said to have been adopted and left the state; & George W. Mills.
