HENRY W. CREEGER, Sr. was born 8 August 1786. Henry W. died 27 Feb 1869 at 82y; buried in Creeger Cemetery, State Route. 18, Hopewell Township, Seneca County, Ohio. His gravestone says he came to Seneca County, Ohio in 1826 from Frederick County, Maryland. However, this does not indicate that he was born in Frederick County, Maryland, nor perhaps even in Maryland. On 20 June 1812 when Henry W., Sr. was 25, he married Catherine Eve McDONALD, in Washington County, Maryland. They had 10 children.

Henry W. died in Bascom, Hopewell Township, Seneca County, Ohio on 18 April 1895 at 70 years. He was buried in Fairmont Cemetery, Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio. Occupation: farmer. Religion: Church of God.
