    • GIDEON WINFIELD6 CREAGER, son of John C. (Carl or Christian)5 CREAGER and Sarah "Sally" Ann PRUGH, was born 6 June 1859 Van Buren Township, Montgomery County, Ohio. On 30 November 1882 he married Mary Jane DUNHAM probably in Darke County, Ohio, home of the bride. The couple made their home in Darke County, where it appears he was given land by his father or bought land.

    Mary Jane was the daughter of James DUNHAM, Jr. and Margaret Elizabeth SLONAKER of Darke County, Ohio. Her father died at Andersonville, Georgia during the Civil War and it appears she was born after his demise. She was born 21 October 1864 in Darke County, Ohio.

    They attended the Zion Reformed Church in Greenville, Darke County, Ohio. Gideon and Mary Jane celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. He died 19 August 1940 probably in Darke County, Ohio. She died 6 March 1942 in probably Darke County, Ohio. They were both buried at the Zion Reformed Church Cemetery, near Greenville, Darke County, Ohio.
