Biography:
ANDREW CHAUDOIN and his wife, SARAH MOORE
ANDREW CHAUDOIN, s/o Francois CHAUDOIN & Sarah WEAVER, was born 6 November 1761 in said Chesterfield County, Virginia. He married 1786 in Buckingham County, Virginia to Mrs. Sarah (MOORE) MATTHEWS or Mrs. Sarah (WHEELER) MATTHEWS. [See: The Moore-Wheeler Controversy]
Andrew and Sarah are said to have been the parents of 10 known children: John W., Thomas Guthrie, Samuel, Susan M., Catherine, Andrew Jr., Cynthia, Elizabeth, Sarah "Sally," and David. Andrew died 17 November 1845 in Summersville, Green County, Kentucky. After his decease his widow declined administration of his estate in favor of her sons, John W. Chaudoin and Thomas G. Chaudoin. "Joel J. Chaudoin" was probably Joel Johns Chaudoin, s/o Thomas Guthrie Chaudoin
State of Ky...Green County (viz)
To the Justices of the Green County Court,
I Sarah Chaudoin widow and relict
of Andrew Chaudoin deceased do by these
presents renounce and relinquish my right
to Administer on said estate; and desire
that the same may be committed to John W.
and Thomas G. Chaudoin. In witness whereof I have
hereto set my hand and seal, this 17 day of
January 1846
