Rayborn Family Reunion Pictures

In 1942 . . . .

The photograph above of the family of Quin Rayborn and Mary Louise Atwood was probably taken in the Summer of 1942.  I can date it because the baby in Quin's arms on the back row is my mother.   The children on the front row are Mary Ellen, Willie Arlean, Patricia Ann, and John Henry Rayborn.  On the back row is Quin holding Jimmie Lou, Mary Louise, Uncle Tom Williams, James Henry Atwood, and Margaret Ellen Brogan Atwood.  Uncle Tom was a brother of Quin's mother, Martha Elizabeth "Lizzie" Williams Rayborn.

Twenty Years Later . . . . .

Seated in front is Martha Elizabeth "Lizzie"  Williams Rayborn (also known as Little Mama)   and Luvenia Hutson Williams, who was Little Mama's mother.  She was called "Old Mama".  The infant is James Stanley Phillips.  The little girl beside Little Mama is Betty Ann Heather Carter.  The little girl beside Old Mama with the thick glasses is me, Pamela Joyce Phillips.  The two boys on the left are Mark Anthony Rayborn and Lester Leroy Carter.  Debra Ann Mixon is the girl in between Little Mama and Old Mama.  The older girl behind me in the striped top is Piney Louise Carter.  The rest of the people in the picture  are, from left, Lester Carter, Arlean Rayborn Carter,  Tom Williams, Quin Rayborn and Mary Louise Atwood Rayborn, Ann Mixon, Peggy Sullivan Rayborn holding Tena Rayborn, and Jimmie Lou Rayborn Phillips holding Mary Evelyn Phillips.
