THE FAMILY STORY CORNER

"In 1930 my grandmother Lucinda lived with on one side of a house in Pritchett with us where my father and his brother Floyd ran a general merchandise store. I remember my great grandfather, Elder Daniel Wilson visiting his daughter, "Cindy" when I was five years old. I ran away from them telling my mother that they were fussing. My mother, nee Maud Davidson, told me that Mr. Stanley was hard of hearing and grandmother had to yell at him so that he could hear her.

Some years later in Pritchett my grandmother opened an old trunk of Elder Stanley’s containing his war property. There was uniforms, bullet molds, Confederate money and other properties. All of this disappeared after grandmother moved into public housing in Gilmer. "
