Lineage information in pointed brackets < > lists the DNA kit number as found on the Harris Y-DNA Results Page. Additional information will be included as more DNA markers are tested and as more participants fall into this category. This is an ongoing project seeking to chart out lines of descent that have been DNA tested as shown on the Harris Y-DNA Results Page. Information is based on DNA results, lineage information supplied by kit submitters, Bible records, legal documents, family histories, and internet sources. In some cases the paper trail and/or information found on the web may be in error. Please view this information as a tool and not as proven fact.
Here are a few lineage charts of interest of the unmatched kits that do not match up with any other Harris DNA group (hopefully in the future, I will find time to include additional charts).

Unmatched Lineage #U1.—DNA Kit #9532. This is for the line of George Harris (ca. 1750-1824) of Warren Co., Kentucky (Generation #2). He was reported by many to be the son of William Harris (ca. 1720-Bet. 1798-1799) (See Group 8), but the DNA does not match with others of Group 8). As an alternative lineage, there is evidence that George’s father might have been William Harris (ca. 1710-ca. 1800) who married Unity __________.
Also, this same lineage from Generation #4 on back is the same reported lineage as Kit #56858 in Group 8). There is a big question as to why the DNA does not match for these two lineages.
To see the lineage supplied by the DNA Kit submitter, go to this site: http://www.harrisdna.org/info/9532.html. A few more details are added below. *This is an unknown lineage prior to Generation #2 shown here. Also note that this lineage belongs to the J2 Haplogroup.

Unmatched Lineage #U2.—DNA Kit #2461—ID #HBT4R. This is for the line of Charles Creed Harris (1879-1929) of Patrick Co., Virginia (Generation #6), son of an Elizabeth Harris and an unknown father.
The male line of this Harris family ends with Charles Creed Harris (Generation #6) because of an unknown father. However through Elizabeth Harris, his mother, this line ties back to Group 10.
This family's migration pattern is: Buckingham Co., VA > Patrick Co., VA.
This kit belongs to the R1b haplogroup. This kit’s user ID is HBT4R. Additional information on this DNA kit and the paternal line can be found on Family Tree DNA’s user ID page for HBT4R

Unmatched Lineage #U3.—DNA Kit #26686—ID #F2ZHU. This is for the family of Beverly Harris (ca. 1763-1849) of Rutherford Co., Tennessee. He is believed to be the son of David Harris and grandson of Robert Harris (ca. 1710-ca. 1785). It is reported by some that this Robert Harris is the son of Robert Harris (b. ca. 1664) listed in Group 6-DNA Kit #11758. Currently the lineage is not proven before Generation #3 shown here. It is recommended that these test results be expanded to 37 or more markers test to see if this lineage matches the DNA shown for DNA Kit #11758 or not.
Additional information on this line can be found at Gregg Bonner’s HARRIS Family Page.
This family's migration pattern is: Granville Co., NC > Rutherford Co., NC > Sangamon Co., IL > Bedford Co., TN > McLennan Co., TX > Los Angeles Co., CA.
This kit belongs to the R1b1 haplogroup. This kit’s user ID is F2ZHU. Additional information on this DNA kit and the paternal line can be found on Family Tree DNA’s user ID page for F2ZHU

Unmatched Lineage #U4.—DNA Kit #32995. This is for the line of Benjamin Franklin Harris (ca. 1822-1857) (Generation #1). Of interest is that in the Unmatched Kits on the HARRIS Y-DNA RESULTS PAGE, there is another Unmatched Kit (#36649) that claims a lineage also back to Benjamin Franklin Harris who married Barbara Ann Sutton. The Kit is #U5 in the Unknown Lineages grouping. While DNA Kit #32995 belongs to the I Haplogroup, Kit #36649 belongs to the R1b Haplogroup, and the markers tested show different results. It would be good for both these submitter to have additional markers tested up through 37 markers.

Unmatched Lineage #U8.—DNA Kit #34767—DNA ID SVDSH. This is for the line of Robert Cornelius “R. C.” Harris (ca. 1820-ca. 1884) of Red River Co., Texas. One thing of interest is that Robert Cornelius Harris originated in Bedford County, Virginia. His wife was Millicent Snead of a colonial Virginia family. Others of the Harris surname intermarried with Sneads, including William Harris (1762-1825) (Lineage #8H) who married Keziah Snead.
Reportedly the DNA of this line matches with that of Kit #8901 (Lineage 14A) and Kit #N5966 (Lineage #14B), but these appear to be totally separate lines.
This 37-marker test belongs to the R1b haplogroup. This kit’s user ID is SVDSH. Additional information on this DNA kit and the paternal line can be found on Family Tree DNA’s user ID page for SVDSH
