E Regt 82nd Indiana Volunteers and reported killed in action in Atlanta Ga, before August 07, 1864. This is from the widow's pension file. McKibben, James L. # 4414 (Listed as J.L. McKiben) From family member Richard: James L. McKibben enlisted 23 October 1861, At Age 19 years in Ohio as a Pvt. in the Union Army. He served in Co. "C" 65th Ohio Infantry. He was wounded at "Stones River" at Murfreesboro, TN on January 01, 1863. He recovered and continued with his service, only to be struck down with dysentery and died on September 25, 1864. Per his service record he was first buried along the railroad tracks to Augusta GA, about one mile east of Atlanta, GA. Oleson, Ole # 4446
