McRAE and RELATED
Samuel Alexander McCrae Lees of Lancashire, recently visited the grave of LtCol John McCrae in the Wimereux Communal Cemetery in Pas de Calais, France. "In Flanders Fields" appeared in "Punch" in 1915. Samuel made his debut in Ormskirk in 1992. The "search" for family spans many generations.

Through the help of Peter Archibald McCrae of Holmrook, Cumbria we have traced back our McCrae line to "Allan McCrae" born in Abt 1675, an "Apothecary Surgeon", married to Susanna Baggate, and appointed Burgess of Ayr in 1715. As a result, the McCrae Tree below will be under serious "re-construction". Any comments, suggestions, or corrections can be forwarded to me directly at:
