From those counties, our ancestors' descendants are to be found in England, Canada, the US, Australia and New Zealand. Our Scottish ancestors are somewhat more easily identified (despite the various surname spellings!) than our Irish forebearers. Scottish records are substantial and somewhat readily available. Irish records are scarce to non-existant (pre-1917). Canadian records are many and easily accessed. The same could be said for US records. Records of Australia and New Zealand are not as numerous.
