James F. "Frosty" Madison served as the Chief of Police for Suspension Bridge, NY. According to the 1895 Atlas, Suspension Bridge had a population of over 4,400 (Compared with Niagara Falls which showed approximately 5,500). James and his wife, Johanna Moroney, were born in Ireland. At the moment we do not know where. Nor do we know when and where they entered the US. Although New York City (see below) is the most likely. Most of their family is buried at St.Mary's Cemetery in Niagara Falls, NY. Daughter, Katherine, who married Simon Glynn is buried with her husband in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. The resting place for son, Austin, (the eldest child) is not yet known.
