James S. HARKINS b. Abt 1846 m. abt 1880 to Malissa Ellen BONNELL and they
had eight children. Bertha, Daniel, John, James, Lillian, Lulu, Rose, and
a baby boy that died at birth. James S. died 24 May 1906 in Traverse City,
Michigan. I have been communicating with one of James S. decendents as well,
and have more information on this line. |

- Well, that is all of George Washington's siblings.
- Since I have not told you my direct relationship to George, here goes,
I am a
- descendant from George's second wife although from her first marriage.
Her
- first marriage was to William (Willis) Nutting and they had four children,
- one of them was my great grand father, Louis Harding Nutting, Louis
married
- and had nine children, his wife died shortly after the birth of their
last
- child. Leaving Louis to raise nine children on his own. Five years
after his
- wife's death he committed suicide orphaning his children. One of those
- children was my grandfather Theodore Russell, he was taken in by Sylvia
- Harkins and raised primarily by her, he was 12 at that time. Theodore
- married after serving in the Marine Corps during W.W.II and they only
had one
- child, Diana Lynn, my mother. So as you can see it is strange, and
hard to
- figure out how I am related. Hope this helps you in your search.
