Please note:  This is a new email address for me.  My old address was glenn354@cox.net

My goal is to research the descendants of several of my ancestors.  The following genealogies are those that I am currently researching.  If you click on the bold area, you will go to a database for the listed family.    If you have additional information on any of these families or want to add to the information here, please email me at donglenn@cox.net.

bullet Glenn Genealogy.  John Glen was born in 1726 in Londonderry, Ireland and died 24 September 1828 in Lincoln County, NC.  He was the first of our family to come to America.  He is reported to have driven a wagon at Braddock's defeat at Pittsburgh.  He married three times and had a total of 14 children.  He moved from Pennsylvania to Virginia (now West Virginia), then to North Carolina.  John is my fourth great grandfather.

bullet Temple Genealogy.  Abraham Temple was born in 1597 in Stowe, England and died after 1639 in Salem, MA.  He was the first of our family to come to America.  He married twice and is believed to have had three children.  Abraham is my eighth great grandfather on my mother's side.

bullet Carroll GenealogyJeremiah Carroll was born about 1774 and died between 1830 and 1840.  He married Sarah D. McWorter and had 12 children. One of those children was Elijah Carroll, my great-great grandfather.  Elijah married Cynthia Bynum Harshaw and was buried in Sharon Churchyard cemetery in York County, SC.

bullet Caldwell Genealogy.  William Caldwell was born in 1751 in County Tyrone, Ireland.  He married Agnes N. McPhilemy and came to America with his family in 1788, landing in Charleston, SC.  He died September 17, 1839 and is buried with his wife in Beersheba Cemetery, York County, SC.  William is my fourth great grandfather.

bullet My Ancestors.   This is a genealogy of all my ancestors.  It includes direct ancestors from the prior four genealogies plus other grandfathers and grandmothers.  Some lines go back to Europe while others end with great grandparents.

The genealogies listed in these pages are for your personal pleasure and research.  I will not grant permission for anyone to gather this data and use it for commercial purposes.  It can not be sold.  If you add or correct information, I will acknowledge your contribution in the sources area of the people you give me.

OTHER SITES OF INTEREST:

bullet Temple.  Park Temple has one of the best sites for Temple information.  He tracks the Abraham Temple descendants as well as other Temple families.
bullet  Tap into the Mormon Family History Center web site to search for family members.
bulletMuch of my Glenn data was obtained at the York County Historical Center.  Their many genealogies and histories of the area have been a rich source of information.  If you visit, I suggest you request the Joe Hart collection which is an excellently research and cross-referenced genealogy of many York County residents.

SOFTWARE I USE:

I use Brother's Keeper for my genealogy database.  This is a shareware package for the PC.  You are welcome to click on the logo and go to the web site where you will find information on the package and can download an evaluation copy.  If you like it, please become a registered owner and support the shareware concept.

I use Microsoft FrontPage 2003 to build this index page.
