WHITAKER SERVICES
Death of Thomas R. Whitaker, 73, 1114 E. Washington St., Paris, Texas, occurred Tuesday at 5:50 a. m., at his home,
June 9, 1953
Funeral services for Mr. Whitaker, were set for 4 p.m. Wednesday in Ramseur Baptist Church, the pastor, the Rev.
Lester Singleton officiating. Gene Roden & Sons had charge of interment in the cemetery at Hopewell.
Mr. Whitaker, a produce company employe, had been ill some time before his death at home early Tuesday. He was
born at Tupelo, Miss., May 7, 1880.
Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Georgia Newson, and these children: Elmer Whitaker and J. E. Whitaker,
Paris; Edward Whitaker, Hughson, Calif., and Mrs. Flora Lee Kenjorski, Nanticoke, Pa.; nine grandchildren; two
brothers, Henry Whitaker, Tushka, Okla., and Felix Whitaker, Weslaco, and a sister, Mrs. Helen Garrison, Porterville,
Calif., and these stepchildren: W. S. Benningfield and S. E. Benningfield and Mrs. Lee Todd, Paris, and Mrs. Ella
Manuel, Wichita Falls.
