Researching descendants and ancestors of Richard GLANVILLE and Sarah COUCH, married in Plymouth on 8 June 1758, especially through their great grandson Thomas GLANVILLE who married Elizabeth SAXON in East Stonehouse, Plymouth on 11 November 1838. For more see David Bell's line.
Researching ancestors and descendants of Richard GLANVILLE and Sara COUCH in the Maker, Rame and general Plymouth areas - descendants through their daughter Susanna (1776-1845) who married Andrew GLINN, and in turn their Granddaughter, Elizabeth Haddy GLINN who emigrated to Australia in 1855 and married William HARMAN from Deptford, Kent. For more see Pam Dowling's line.
Starting with Richard GLANVILL who married Sarah COUCH at Plymouth in 1758, I am descended through their son Edward who married Ann SPRIDDLE in 1782 in Maker, Cornwall. Then through their son Richard GLANVILL who married Susanna HARVEY in 1805 in Maker, then their son Thomas GLANVILL who married Elizabeth SAXON in Stoke Damerel in 1838. They were the parents of my Great Grandmother Hannah GLANVILL who married Walter Edward BARRATT in Colyton, Devon in 1868. Hannah and Walter BARRATT then shifted to Wigan in Lancashire. Their son Herbert John BARRATT was my Grandfather. Herbert John BARRATT and his wife Margaret (nee SANTUS) migrated to Australia in 1912 with four of their children and a fifth child was born later in Australia. For more see Barbara Gialousis' line.
Researching descendants of Richard GLANVILL of Maker, Cornwall, his son Roger GLANVILLE (1768-1843) who married Dorothy RICHARDS and their daughter Eliza (1797-1875) who married John WAYMOUTH. Also the wider GLANVILLE and WAYMOUTH families. For more see Ray Turner's line.
