I , Timothy Lamberson, a citizen of Pike County and state of Missouri being in a low state of health and calling to mind that all men die, do make, ordain and constitute this my last will and testament. First, after my decease it is my will and desire that my wife Rebecca sell as much of my personal property as will pay my funeral expenses and just debts. Secondly I give and bequeath my wife all the balance of my personal property. Thirdly I give my wife Rebecca the tract of land whereon I now live and all its appurtenanies during her natural life. Lastly it is my will and desire that the land shall be equally divided amongst all my children after the death of my wife and the youngest child arrives at the age of twenty one years. In which( note; hard to read this word) whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this first day of April 1832-Timothy Lamberson. Wittnesses were C.B.Limlain?, Wm Reading, John L Ferguson, Robert Finley. State of Missouri, county of Pike. This will was on page 212 FHL film us/can 0956908. On page 213 are his executors testamonis..Later in land records, after the death of Rebecca, the children all sold their portions of the land to a daughter, Rachel Lamberson. I THINK this is why my Commodore Perry was born in Kentucky, while his siblings were born in Missouri. I THINK they went back to Kentucky to settle the will. Hope this helps. I copied this from the original. My original is not very clear, and I do not think it will copy over e mail, but I might try later to send it. Sincerely, Jan
