Some descendants of the Greenbrier, VA/W, line believe the line connects to Henry Keney
of MA (and the alleged Sir Thomas) but no solid evidence has yet been found to
prove that. The Y-DNA signature of Henry's line does not match the signature of
the Greenbrier, VA/WV, line. Thus the
below first five generations may be incorrect. There is a known John Keeney
(see 6th generation below) of Greenbrier County but his birth date
and locale has never been documented and is often confused with another John
who was born in MA.
