James McKinney, grandson of John McKenney (1703) of Maine, was born abt. 25 Sep 1792, probably in Maine, and married Amarilla Roberts in Plattsburgh, NY in 1815. They were the parents of eight sons and two daughters (and possibly a ninth son who died at age 21). Four descendants have tested to establish the DNA signature of this line. All report papers trails to John 1703 and Y-DNA results indicate they share a common ancestor. See Group 4 on results page. Color (gray) below indicates shared ancestors.
