Imaging Software for Genealogy Projects

Hamrick Software has produced two products for helping you with your genealogy projects - VueScan and VuePrint.

Most people doing genealogy projects have many boxes full of documents and pictures - snapshots, slides, prints, newspaper clippings, and copies of all different kinds of documents. However, organizing all these boxes of documents and pictures is a daunting project that just never seems to get done. Hamrick Software has developed VueScan and VuePrint to help you scan all of these different media types and organize them on an ordinary home computer.

VueScan is a program that helps you rapidly scan large numbers of slides, negatives, and snapshots using most types of low-cost film scanners. VueScan is well suited to batch scanning, and also has features that let you restore colors of old, faded negatives, slides, and snapshots.

VuePrint is the most widely used image viewing program on Microsoft Windows, and helps you rapidly browse through a collection of images, helps you crop and rotate images, and lets you adjust the brightness and contrast of the images.

You can get more information about VueScan and VuePrint on Hamrick Software's home page at
