Obituary: LEOMINSTER - Clifford J. Girouard, 81,
of 1237 Central St., a truck driver for many years,
died yesterday at home. He leaves his wife of 52 years,
Doris M. (Cabana) Girouard; a brother, Wilfred Belliveau;
two sisters, Elma Anderson and Leah Lamy; a stepbrother,
Hector Girouard, all of Leominster; a stepsister,
Corinne Pierce of Fitchburg; nephews and nieces.
He was born in Fitchburg, son of Edmon N. and
Mary A. (Girouard) Girouard, and lived here most of his life.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Girouard was a
truck driver for Foster Grant Co. for more than 17 years,
retiring in 1982. He was a member of St. Cecilia's Church,
the Franco-American War Veterans and Leominster Post 151,
American Legion. He was a member and past president of the
Leominster Sportsmen's Association.
The funeral will be held tomorrow from M.A. Simard & Son
Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., with a Mass at 11 a.m. in
St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic St.
Burial will be in St. Cecilia's Cemetery. A calling hour
is 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
