Mrs. Elsie (Girouard) Cormier, 36, of 42
Fourth street, died yesterday at the Clinton
hospital after a brief illness.
She was a
resident of this city for 20 years and had
a host of friends on the East Side.
Her
husband, Ernest Cormier, who survives her,
is employed at the Pyrotex Leather Company.
She is survived, besides her husband, by a
father and mother, Mr. and Mrs, Edward
Girouard of New Brunswick, Canada, who
will be present at the funeral in St. Cecilia's
Church tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock.
She
leaves seven children, Elsie and Ruth, and
five minor boys, Edward, Philias, Oliver,
Raymond, Clarence and Alban.
She leaves
five brothers, Alban, Tilmon and Antoine of
Leominster and David and Daniel of New
Brunswick.
She also leaves five sisters
Leonie, Mrs. Sarah Cormier, Mrs. Annie
Thibodeau, Mrs Lena Robichaud and Nellie
Girouard, all of New Brunswick.
She was a member of St. Cecilia's Church,
and also of St. anne's Society. The funeral
will be at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning under
the direction of M.A. Simard. Burial will be
in the parish cemetery.

Ernest O. Cormier
Ernest O. Cormier, 82, died in his home
Wednesday after a long illness.
He was a native of Mt. Carmel, N.,B.
Canada, and lived here many years.
Survivors include seven sons, Philip J.,
Edward, Oliver, Raymond Z. , Clarence,
Joseph D. and Alban Cormier, all of
Leominster; a stepson Joseph Dollard
of Leominster; five daughters Mrs. Elsie
Blanchette, Mrs. Ernestine Amico, and
Mrs. Ester Mangini, all of this city; Mrs.
Ruth Kirouac of Lexington, and Mrs.
Margaret Timledge of Clinton; four step-
daughters, Mrs. Louise Perla, Mrs. Elva
Bigelow and Mrs. May Drouin, all of this
city, and Mrs. Ruth Bernard of Fitchburg;
25 grandchildren and seven great-grand
children.
The funeral will be Saturday from the
M.A. Simard and Son Funeral Home
with a High Requiem Mass at 9 a.m.
in Our Lady of the Lake Church.

LEOMINSTER -
Raymond Z. Cormier, 80, of 72B Terrace Drive, longtime owner of a plastics
company, died yesterday in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after a short illness.
His wife, Theresa (Martin) Cormier, died in June.
He leaves two sons, Lynn P. Cormier of Milford, N.H.,
and Steven K. Cormier of Fitchburg; two daughters, Tamara A. and Sheila R. Cormier, both of Leominster.
Two brothers, Oliver Cormier of Leominster and Clarence Cormier of Sharon; three sisters, Ruth Kirouac,
Ernestine Amico and Mary E. Mangini, all of Leominster; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren;
nephews and nieces.
He was born in Fitchburg, son of Ernest and Elise (Girouard) Cormier.
He was a
Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
Mr. Cormier was the owner and president of Master Molders Co. for many years before he retired. He was
previously a salesman for Ray Plastics Co., later Mylor Co. He served for several years on the Leominster
License Commission, dealing with alcoholic beverages. He was active in John F. Kennedy's campaign to
become president in 1960. He was a member of St. Cecilia's and Holy Family of Nazareth churches. He was
a former member of the Assumption Club of Leominster and Leominster Lodge of Elks.
The funeral will be held tomorrow from M.A. Simard & Son Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., with a Mass at 9
a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic St. Burial will be in St. Cecilia's Cemetery. A calling time is 8 to
8:45 a.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St.
Cecilia's Church, Renovation Fund, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster 01453.

Leominster - Philip J. Cormier, 71, of
1025 Main St. died at home Sunday.
He was the husband of Viola (Smith)
Cormier.
Born in St. Mary, Canada, July 13 1908,
he was the son of Ernest and Elsie
(Girouard) Cormier.
Until his retirement he was superintendent
at Commonwealth Plastics Co., Leominster.
Mr. Cormier was a member of the Senior
Citizens Club.
He leaves, in addition to his wife, three sons,
Robert Cormier of Leominster, John Cormier and William Cormier, both of
Fitchburg; five
brothers, Edward, Oiver, Raymond and
Alban Cormier all of Leominster and Clarence
Cormier of Sharon; a sister, Ruth Kirouac of
Lexington; a half brother Joseph Cormier of
Leominster; three half sisters, Ernestine
Amico and Esther Mangini both of Leominster
and Margaret Timeledge of Clinton; a step-
brother, Joseph Dollard of Leominster and
four step sisters, Louise Perla, Elva Bigelow,
Mae Drouin and Ruth Cote all of Leominster
and three grandchilren.
The funeral will be held Wednesday from
the M.A. Simard and Son Funeral home,
14 Walker St. with a funeral Mass at 10 A.M.
in Our Lady of Lake Church, 1400 Main St.
Interment will be in St. Cecilia's Cemetery.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m.
