COMMENTS
At the time of the 1901 census, 31 March 1901, Alice was living with her father, step-mother and step-siblings. Had she remained with her father after the death of his first wife, on 21 Jul 1891, when Alice would have been only 16 months old?
Alice may have been widowed early and, probably in the late 1930s and early 1940s, may have lived in Chapel Row, Thurgoland just below (i.e. south of) Thurgoland Wesleyan Methodist Chapel. (There was another, Primitive, Methodist Chapel at the foot of the hill from Thurgoland to Huthwaite) Source: Family Records
