COMMENTS

* Sarah Ann Gilbertson is thought to have married Jim McCaul, a railway engine driver from Gretna. He is thought to have been sent to jail for stealing two doll's prams and a bottle of Whisky shortly before Christmas. When searching his house the authorities found the two doll's prams but missed the whisky which is said to have been intended for Balmoral. Stealing two prams suggests Jim McCaul and Sarah Ann Gilbertson/McCaul may have had two daughters. Source: Family Records
