COMMENTS
From tombstone inscription in Carlisle Cemetary, Plot 42144, Section W, Ward 7 visited on 5 Mar 2002: "In loving memory of Elizabeth, beloved wife of William Gilbertson, who died at 6, Millholme Terrace 14 April 1919 aged 45 years and of William Gilbertson who died at 8, Manor Road 16 June 1949 aged 76 years also their daughter Sarah 1895 - 1982".
Her parents William Gilbertson and Sarah Park/Gilbertson were not living at 30 Lord Street (thought to be a railway house) at the time of the 1891 Census, four years before Sarah Gilbertson's birth. At that time 30 Lord Street was occupied by a Locomotive fireman called Sarginson. Another family occupied 30a Lord Sreet, suggesting the house may have been divided into flats.
