COMMENTS

"Savilla", "Tirzah" and "Novello" were common names in the 1881 Census, incorrectly transcribed elsewhere as "Saukla" and "Tirzam". "Iabez" is also incorrectly transcribed elsewhere as "Tabez" and "Thowley" as "Thawley" or "Thauley". Thomas Haigh's death was reported by "G. Haigh, Son", here assumed to be his son Garfield Haigh, the only known son with the appropriate initial.

Thomas's first daughter, Miriam Haigh, was born six months after his marriage to Annis Airstone/Haigh

In the 1891 Census his age is recorded as 57. To agree with other sources, it probably should have been entered as 51
