...in the office of the County Court Fayette Co., KY & some years after said Clerk's office was burned with fire, & the records were destroyed & not even a copy has been preserved as your Complts (Plantiffs) are informed & believe.
In said will said testator devised to his wife Sarah Hunt, among their property, five Negroes to wit: Ludia, Halefax, Lizzy, Dick and Christiane, for & during her natural life & at her death, they and their increase to be equally divided between his said Testators children.
Your Complts (complaints) state that Halifax & Dick have since died & Lizzy has had increase to wit: Charles, Stephen, Harry, (Hary?) Milton & Moses; that Lydia has had increase, Charotte, Eady, Beauford; that Christiana has had increase Dicy, Lydia, Ellen, Greenup, Boy & said Charlotte has had increase Luisa & Johnson, all of which said Negroes are now valuable & many of them well grown & ablee to perform valuable labour & service.
Your complts state Sarah Hunt, widow & relict of Reuben Hunt dec'd totoly departed this life intestate, early in this present month (Note: about the first day was writen in, then marked out and early in substituted.. DGJ) and has left said negroes above states with their increase, & said Sarah Hunt at her death left a Negro man of her own property named San (Sam?) of the value of about $400. & she left one good feather bed & furniture value $50. some household & kitchen furniture & clothing, all of which property held in her own right & not by said will, which were left with James Gillock & wife. Sarah also left several bonds & notes for loaned money amounting to $300 or upwards as well as your complts are advised & which bonds & notes are on said James Gillock, as Sarah died at his house (prob. buried in unmarked grave in the cemetery on his land, that we could not find or know who were in the unmarked, 1978 DGJ) & left said property there.
Your complts also represents that the said personal property, notes, or bonds, Negro man SAm, Christiana & her three children & Eady are all in Gillock's possession, worth about $2,300, states that Robert R. Hunt departed this life leaving Silas Hunt, Reuben Hunt, & Isabella Hunt his infant heirs & that they or their guardian are in possession of Lydia & her son Beauford worth about $300. both together Lydia being & Bowen had Ellen, one of Christiana's children which he has since gave to one of his sons-in-law named William Campbell, she is worth $250.
Your Complts have in their possession Charlotte & her children Luisa & Johnson, worth $800, that Wyatt & wife have in possession Lizzy, Charles, Harry, Milton, & Mosses and Wyatt has sold Stephen to Joseph Hall who has in his possession LIzzy & five sons worth $1,600.
Your complts are informed that Wyatt has more than his portion of the property utterly refuses to come to any division of Negroes & has said he will remove himself out of the commonwealth & take the Negroes & avoid the process of Court & defraud your Complts & other Legatees of the estate.
Your Complts pray that Conque Wyatt & wife Fanny, James Gillock & Csley (Scella DGJ) his wife, Thomas Bowen & wife Nancy & Silas Hunt, Reuben HUnt, & Isbella Hunt, the infant heirs of Robert R. Hunt dec'd & William Campbell & Joseph Hall (coud this Hall be related to the Halls that married the two dau. of Benjamin P. Gillock, who may be the son of Thomas Gillock, a brother to my g. grandfather "Robert Gillock" DGJ)
