Hunt dec'd (so this prob is where Robert Robertson Hunt Gillock got his name DGJ) ... heirs & legal representatives of Reuben Hunt dec'd the under signed Commissioners, having this day at the house of James Gillock (1842 Will DGJ) in BCK, having appraised the Negro's, seventeen in number belonging to the estate of said Reuben Hunt dec'd to the sum of $4,462.00 which said Negroes were in our presence divided by the mutual consent. (This is when "CRUEL" is added to "CRUELTY" by separating members of families, one from the other, it would seem to be like horses being divided. Agreeable to an obligation bearing date 9-21-1821, made & entered into between Thomas Bourne, Robert Newell, Fanny Wyatt, James Gillock (1842 Will DGJ) & Abner Wilson guardian for the infant children of Robert R. Hunt dec'd, heirs & legal representatives of Reuben Hunt, dec'd we the undersigned Commissioners having this day met at the house of James Gillock (1842 Will DGJ) in BCK & having appraised the Negroes, seventeen in number, we do award & allot to the heirs of Robert R. Hunt dec'd one Negro boy Bluford, one Negro woman Dicy & one Negro boy Hary, also $70.00 being one fifth part of a Negro boy Stephen sold by Wyatt upon the said Abner Wilson as guardian of said infant heirs paying over & other legatees the sum of $60.00 we award & allot to James Gillock (1842 Will DGJ) the following Negroes one woman Christian, one girl Lydia, one boy Greenup&one old woman Lydia & that the other Legatees pay to him $42.40, we allot to Robert Newell one woman Charlotte, girl Louisa, boy Johnson & that the other Legatees pay him the sum of $124.40. We award & allot to Fanny Wyatt one woman Negro Eliza and boy Charles,one Milton, one Moses & that they pay over to the other Legatees the sum of $93.60 and we award and allot to Thomas Bourne one Negro woman Edy, one woman Ellen and one boy Andy and that he receive of the other Legatees $67.00 in the forgoing estimate of $70.00 to be paid to the guardian of R. R. Hunt's children: Mrs. Fanny Wyatt is to pay no part but the whole to be paid by the other Legatees. Witness our hand 10-11-1821.
