At Frankfort, Ky. we stayed 5 days, found lots of information which led us to Hart & Barren Cos., KY, in phone book I found Clyde Gillock at Standard Service Station, I-65 & KY. 70, Cave City, Ky. went to see him, he was very co-operative (g. son of Smith Barlow Gillock DGJ)

James Gillock, son of _________ Gillock (unknown, but thought to be a son of Lawrence Gillock Sr. & Jane of Orange Co., VA Will 1786. James & Lawrence Gillock Jr. are thought to be brothers DGJ.
James married Scelia Hunt 3-29-1804, Barren Co., KY File #1, as found in M. Index 1793 - 1933, p. 213, for Grooms (Scelia dau of Sarah Hunt (see Will) & prob. sister to Leolah Hunt m. Tom Gillock 1806. Barren Co., KY File #1 This Tom is unknown. DGJ)
James Gillock b. 12-16-1782 probably Orange Co., VA. d. 3-8-1842 bu. Gillock Cem. on his Land. (see note * below. DGJ) Farmer - Real Estate, Slave Owner
Scelia Gillock b. ca 1786 probably Orange Co., VA. d. 1-?-1867 Probably same as James. Housewife (* In visiting Leola C. (Gillock) Smith 1978, from a bible she had (see else where) gave the date of death for Scelia as above. (I think Scelia is a mis-spelled for Celia. DGJ) Also we found the cemetery on land once owned by James Gillock, now owned by Alma Kincheloe: It is possible the house she lives in "Could have been James's "No Proof, it was over grown with weeds & bushes, but I found James Tombstone & took a picture of it & others.
