3. Abraham² Godsey (Gilbert¹) was born in Virginia June 24, 1807. Abraham died 1869 in Monroe County, Indiana, at age 62. His body was interred 1869 in Monroe County, Indiana.

He married Mary Magdalene Hartsock October 20, 1838 in Owen Co., Indiana. Mary was born August 25, 1817 in Virginia. Mary was the daughter of Isaac Hartsock and Rebecca Whisenand. Mary died November 28, 1901 in Baker Township, Morgan County, Indiana, U.S.A., at age 84. Her body was interred November 30, 1901 in Baker Township, Morgan County, Indiana, U.S.A..

Abraham Godsey and Mary Magdalene Hartsock had the following children:

+ 7 i. Joseph³ Godsey was born November 19, 1839.

+ 8 ii. Isaac Godsey was born March 22, 1842.

+ 9 iii. Abraham Godsey Jr. was born February 24, 1845.

+ 10 iv. Marion Godsey was born October 4, 1849.

11 v. Charles Godsey was born June 8, 1855. Charles died September 3, 1873 at age 18. His body was interred AFT 3 SEP 1873 in Monroe County, Indiana.
