She married Charles E. Ellis January 11, 1899 in Morgan County, Indiana. Charles was born October 1877 in Indiana.

Lucy E. "Lula" Godsey and Charles E. Ellis had the following children:

69 i. Florence Esther⁵ Ellis was born in Morgan County, Indiana October 27, 1900. Florence died January 1983 at age 82. She married Carroll G. Golay October 27, 1921 in Morgan County, Indiana. Carroll was born December 23, 1898. Carroll died September 1974 in Mooresville, Morgan Co., IN, at age 75.

+ 70 ii. Jessie E. Ellis was born July 21, 1903.

+ 71 iii. Edith A. Ellis was born September 19, 1908.
