18. Mary Jane⁴ Godsey (Joseph³, Abraham², Gilbert¹) was born in Indiana June 29, 1861. Mary died January 19, 1944 in Manhattan, KS, at age 82.

She married Albert Cooksey November 1, 1886 in Morgan County, Indiana. Albert was born October 2, 1863 in Owen Co., Indiana. Albert was the son of Vincent Henry Cooksey and Margaret Ann Pirtle. Albert died May 1, 1946 in Manhattan, KS, at age 82.

Mary Jane Godsey and Albert Cooksey had the following children:

+ 53 i. Charles Clyde⁵ Cooksey was born September 5, 1887.

+ 54 ii. Esther Anna Cooksey was born May 4, 1889.

+ 55 iii. George Curtis Cooksey was born August 17, 1890.

+ 56 iv. Albert Francis Cooksey was born December 14, 1891.

+ 57 v. Jessie Alice Cooksey was born October 21, 1894.

58 vi. Ora Belle Cooksey was born in Monroe County, Indiana October 25, 1896. Ora died December 28, 1982 in Smith Center, KS, at age 86. She married Melvin Kellum Mahen January 11, 1923. Melvin was born October 19, 1892 in Stockton, KS. Melvin was the son of H. E. Mahen and Lydia Catherine Tulley. Melvin died June 15, 1986 in Smith Center, KS, at age 93.

59 vii. Mary Doris Cooksey was born in Morgan County, Indiana September 19, 1901.

60 viii. Joseph Henry Cooksey was born in Monroe County, Indiana March 9, 1904. Joseph died November 9, 1919 at age 15.
