Martin Kearney, Hoosick Falls Craftsman, Dies
Martin F. Kearney of 7 High Street, Hoosick Falls, retired expert wood craftsman and former operator of an antique reproduction and finishing shop on Church Street for many years, died yesterday (April 30, 1963) at Mary McClellan Hospital in Cambridge. He had been ill for some time. Mr. Kearney would have been 77 tomorrow.
Mr. Kearney was born in Hoosick Falls, son of the late Patrick and Mary McGrath Kearney. He was educated at St. Mary s Academy and was a communicant of Church of the Immaculate Conception. He was past grand knight of Hoosick Falls Council, Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth Fogerty; a son, Robert Kearney, Springfield, Vermont; one daughter, Mrs. Stanton Lovett, Colonie, NY; one brother Edward Kearney of Delmar; and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be tomorrow at 9 a.m. from the Leo J. Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street and at 9 :30 a.m. from Church of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will be in St. Mary s Cemetery, Hoosick Falls.
