Obituary:
PLESSIS - Jack W. Huner, 71, Lakeland Florida, formerly of Plessis, died Monday at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, Lakeland, Florida, after a long illness.
A memorial service will be held later at the convenience of the family. (Sunday, June 24, 1990 at Plessis Methodist Church)
Surviving are his wife, Roberta B. Hunter, 1510 W. Ariana St., Lakeland Florida, 33800; two sons, James R., Theresa and Richard E., Alexandria Bay; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Hawley Elizabeth Delling, Jordan, and two brothers, Paul and Douglas Hunter, both of LaFargeville.
A brother, Second Lt. Richard E. Hunter, became missing in action in June 1943 during World War II, and another brother, Lt. Col. Alvaro J. Hunter, Winter Park, Florida, also died before him.
He was born June 25, 1918, in Plessis, a son of Earl and Lora Wilson Hunter. He was graduated from Alexandria Bay High School in 1937.
He married Roberta Boles on May 29, 1942, in the Methodist parsonage, Plessis, with the Rev. Kenneth D. Jones officiating.
Mr. Hunter farmed in the Plessis area, and also had a milk hauling business in Jefferson and St. Lawrence counties. He retired in the late 1970's.
Since 1979, Mr. and Mrs. Hunter had spent winters in Florida, moving there permanently in 1988.
