OBITUARY 1958
C. M. HUNTER, 69, PLESSIS, IS DEAD
Plessis, Sept. 18.--Charles Martin Hunter, 69, a Plessis resident and retired town of Alexandria farmer, was found dead Wednesday afternoon in the Plessis cemetery where he had gone to do somework. The cause of death has been attributed to a heart condition.
There will be a prayer service at the family home Saturday at2 p.m., at the Plessis Methodist Church.
Bearers, all Plessis residents will be Keith Allen, Wendell VanHorn, Leslie Getman, Harold Gill, Martin Hanni and Lawrence Schneider.
Surviving Mr. Hunter, besides his wife, Mrs. Hazel Holkins Hunter, are a son, Roy, who lives on the homestead farm in the town of Alexandria; five grandsons, and two brothers, Ronald of Redwood and Ross of Plessis.
Mr. Hunter was born May 2, 1889, in the town of Alexandria, son of Alvaro and Ida Blevins Hunter. On Sept. 28, 1909, he married Miss Hazel Holkins of Theresa in a ceremony performed by Rev. Norman Darling. Mr. Hunter was a farmer on the family homestead until his retirement in 1943, when he and Mrs. Hunter moved into this village (Plessis).
