[6] Johnn Jacob Snider had his name changed from SCHNEIDER to "Snider" by the
Pennsylvania Legislature. He was born as "Johann Jacob Schneider". He
was a Ruling Elder in the German Reform Church. Jacob Peter Snider was
the Sheriff of Franklin County, PA from October 1802 to October 1805. He
lived to be 85+/- years old. J. J. Snider could be a second cousin of
Penn. Governor Simon "Snyder" - See Dr. Thornton A. Snider's letter. See
