THIS INDENTURE
Made the 22 nd day of October, in the year of the Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety seven Between Thomas J.C. Ripple, of __PA and his wife Iris, of the one part and Auguste J Roche of Robertsdale, Huntingdon Co, PA of the other part.. Witnessed, that the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of eight hundred and fifty dollars, lawful money of the US of A unto him hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey, and confirm unto the said party of the second part Auguste J Roche his heirs and assigns, ALL that certain piece of parcel of land situate in Carbon township, Huntingdon co, PA, being part of the Daugherty and Speer tract lying near Robertsdale on the east side of creek, described according to the survey made Jan 11th 1894 by W.A. Booth surveyor, as follows: conmencing at a store, thence north forty degrees, 28 minutes, east 14 ___ to a store(no 40 28 E 14 p)south 68 degrees, fifty eight minutes east, thirty six perches to a post )S66 58 E 36p) thence south forth degrees, twenty eight minutes west, fourteen perches to a post(S40 28 W p) thence north sixty six degrees fifty eitght minutes west thirty six perches to a store the plare of beginning (N66 58 W 36p) containing three acres of land of which the surface alone is hereby conveyed, saving and preserving to the Lane heirs, or the Lanes or their assigns all mineral and mineral rights in the same. Being the same premises which Wm H Lane and others by indenture date of Jan 26- A.D. 1897 recorded in Huntingdon Co in the proper office for recording of deeds in Deed Book L No 4 page 317, conveyed unto that said T.J.C. Ripple in fee.

This Indenture made the eighteenth of May in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety seven. Between Catherine Martin, widow of M. J Martin Deceased, of the Twp of Todd, Huntingdon , PA of the first part and August J Roache of Carbon Twp, Huntingdon Co, PA of the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part fo and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars lawful money of the USA will and truly paid by the said party of the second part to the said party of the first part at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfoeffed, released, conveyed and confined to the party of the second part his heirs and assigns. All that certain lot or peice of land situated in the Twp of Carbon Co of Huntingdon State of PA as described by mates and bounds as follows. Viz Beginning at post near banks of Trough Creek north 38 1/2, west 587 ft to chestnut oak north fifty and three fourth degrees east, one hundred and seventy nine ft to white oak north fifty five degrees, east two hundred and eighty nine ft. , being part of the Michael Jarred/ Joseph Martin Tract and surveyed Oct 30, 1840, granted to Michael J Martin and conveyed to Anthony Martin and conveyed from Anthony Martin's wife Louisa, to Catherine Martin by Feb 15, 1892

A.J. Roache to Jesse O McClain

This indenture made the 25th day of October, A.D. 1898, between A. J. Roache of the township of Carbon in the County of Huntingdon and State of PA the party of the first part, and Jesse O McClain of the township of the township, county, and state aforesaid, the party of the second part. Whereas the said A.J. Roach, owing to sunday losses and misfortunes is at present unable to discharge his just debts, and is willing to assign all his property for the benefit of his creditors. -Now This Indenture witnesseth that the said A.J. roache, as well in consideration of his estate and effects among his creditors as also of the sum of one dollar to him in hand paid by the said Jesse O. Mcclain the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained, sold, arrigned, transferred and set over unto the said Jesse O. McClain, his heirs and assignees. All that certain ______, tenement and tract of land situated in the township, county and State aforesaid, bounded and described as follows. Bounded on the north by lands of Speer and Daugherty; on the West by lands of the Rockhill Iron and Coal Company, on the south by the same, and on the east by lands of the said Speer and Daugherty containing ehree acres, and having thereupon erected a two-story frame building, used as a store and dwelling, frame stable, frame wagon shed and framed wash-room. And also all the goods, chattels and effects and property of every kind, real, personal and mixed of the said A.J. Roache to have and to hold, receive and take the same to the said Jesse O. McClain, his heirs and assigns, to the only proper use and behalf of the said Jesse O McClain, his heirs and assigns forever. __ Trust, however, and to the intent and purpose that he, the said Jesse O. Mcclain shall and do, as soon as convenient, sell and dispose of all the lands, tenements, goods and chattles of him the said A.J. Roache and callest and recover all the outstanding claims and debts to him the said A.J. Roache due, and with the monies arising therefrom after deducting his, the said Jesse O Mcclain's reasonable costs and changes shall and do pay the creditors of the said A. J. Roache, their respective just demands in full if there shall be sufficient assets to satisfy the whole, and if there shall not be sufficient assets to satisfy all the just demands of the creditors in full, then, pro-rata according to the amount of this respective claims without preference as between individuals, and should any part or portion of said trust fund or funds remain after fully complying with the trust aforesaid, then said Jesse O. McClain shall deliver over and ______ the same unto the said A. J. Roache, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns.

Peace in and for said state and county personally
appeared the said, A.J. Roache, and in due form of ___ 
acknowledged the foregoing indenture of conveyance to
be his act and deed and desined that the same might be 
recorded as such.
